Welcome to our travel diary!
Lizelle and I thought this would be a great way of keeping everyone up to speed with our time in Peru. The frequency of our updates will depend on accessibility to an internet cafe, bandwidth and weekend travel plans, but we can only promise to do our best.
A lot of people have asked us what we'll be doing in Peru. To say that we'll be teaching underprivileged children leaves a lot unsaid, so I'd like to share a couple more details about the program.
Here is the website for our program:

Next is a blog post from GVI, our volunteer organization, explaining the backgrounds and lifestyles of the people touched by the program that we're joining. It is difficult to read, but the children are an inspiration:

That's all for now.
